Activity: Creating a Low-Fidelity Prototype of Your Personal Portfolio
Objective: In this activity, you will create a low-fidelity prototype of your personal portfolio using Figma.
Steps to Follow:
Create a Low-Fidelity Prototype in Figma:
- Start by sketching out the basic structure of your personal portfolio. Focus on the layout, placement of elements, and overall flow of the user experience. Don't worry about adding too much detail; the goal is to outline the main sections and navigation.
Take a Screenshot of the Output:
- Once your low-fidelity prototype is complete, take a screenshot of it. This screenshot will be used in your Medium post to visually represent your work.
Upload the Screenshot on Medium.com or Hashnode:
- Write a new post where you will include the screenshot of your low-fidelity prototype. (Step by Step)
Content Guidelines for the Medium.com or Hashnode Post:
Introduction:
Explain what a low-fidelity prototype is. Mention that it’s a simple version of a design focusing on layout, not details.
List a few advantages, like how it’s quick and easy to make and helps get feedback early.
Screenshot and Brief Description of Your Low-Fidelity Prototype:
Screenshot:
- Insert the screenshot you took of your low-fidelity prototype.
Description:
- Provide a short description of the prototype. Explain the basic structure, the sections you included (Example: Header, About Me, Projects, Skills, etc.), and the overall flow of the portfolio. Reference examples discussed in previous lectures to guide your explanation.
Your Figma Link:
Link to Figma:
- Include a link to your Figma file. Make sure the link is set to allow anyone with the link to view the file. This will let others explore your prototype directly in Figma.
This activity helps you practice designing and sharing your work for feedback.
